A man from Boone County faces several charges of animal cruelty. Boone County sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Kimes and started rescuing 30 to 40 dogs that were on his property.

The Ozark Humane Society is removing the dogs from the property, cataloging the dogs and housing them at the Humane Society's shelter.
The sheriff's department said the dogs were housed in small pens with no clean water and the only food available were full, unopened loaves of bread.
Several dogs appeared to be malnourished and in poor health.
Kimes’ bond is set at $15,000.
